Je m’appelle Elodie, j’ai 27 ans et vie actuellement à Paris, dans le 17ème Arrondissement mais vais bientôt retourner vivre sur Grenoble, ma ville « natale ».

J’ai aménagé sur Paris il y a presque deux ans, pour rejoindre mon ex. En arrivant dans la capitale, je me suis retrouvée un peu perdue, sans mon entourage, ma famille et ma routine. Plus ou moins au même moment, j’ai également pris la décision d’arrêter de fumer, après avoir eu cette mauvaise habitude pendant un peu plus de 10 ans. A ce moment là, j’ai ressenti le besoin de créer, de fabriquer quelque chose, d’occuper mes mains et je me suis donc (re)mise au tricot. Comme beaucoup de personnes, j’avais tricoté un petit peu en étant enfant. Ma Grand-Mère tricotait beaucoup et ma Mère un peu, j’ai donc appris le point Mousse. Je me souviens, je ne savais même pas monter des mailles! 

Je me suis donc attelé à apprendre le tricot, grâce à des tutos sur Youtube et des blogs. J’ai acheté un kit chez We Are Knitters, acheté quelques laines Phildar, créé mon compte IG grâce auquel j’ai découvert des comptes de tricoteurs et tricoteuses proposant de magnifiques projets. De fil en aiguille, j’ai découvert Ravelry et les podcasts tricot. En bref, je me suis finalement retrouvée dans la Communauté tricot et suis à présent passionnée par cet univers.

Je partage un bout de celui-ci ici et j’espère que vous passerez un agréable moment en ma compagnie.

Hi! 🙂 My name is Elodie, I am 27 years old and live in Paris, in the 17th district but will soon move back to Grenoble, my home town.

I initially moved to Paris to come close to my Ex. When I got here, I was a little lost, without my family and friends. At the same time, I decided to stop smoking, after having that bad habbit for 10 years.

At that moment, I felt the need to occupy myself, to create, to do something with my hands. That’s when I decided to begin knitting. I use the word begin, but I already tried it when I was younger, with my mum and grandma. Didn’t like it so much back then! haha

I started to look online and found kits. I bought industrial yarn, started to watch tutorials on Youtube, blogs. I created my IG account and that’s when the magic happened. I discovered that knitters now had huge oppotunities of colors, textures, style… I found out that many people who knit had awesome IG accounts, that you could easily find modern patterns and fibers.

After that, someone showed me Raverly… I can’t count the number of hours that I spent on this website. It is a goldmine!

Last but not least, I discovered knitting podcasts. And that was it…

I am now officially a knitting addict:
